Q: Do I have to pay a service charge for an art evaluation?
A: No. Verbal evaluations are free to all participants.
Q: How long will my appraisal take?
A: You will receive your evaluation as close to your appointment time as possible. We do our best to minimize waiting time. The actual evaluation takes only a few minutes. If you are selected to be on the television show, you may need to wait another half-hour or so for filming.
Q: Does my artwork have to be framed?
A: No. You may submit framed or unframed artwork.
Q: Can I bring a photograph of the art rather than the original?
A: No. The appraiser must be able to examine the original in order to evaluate it accurately.
Q: Will my original artwork be protected while I am at the Art Stories event?
A: Absolutely. We have a complete security team onsite throughout the event, plus we provide safe, secure onsite storage space for your fine art during the event. Please note that Art-Adventures cannot be held liable for any damage to your artwork caused by transit or handling.
Q: Can I use the appraisal from Art Stories for insurance purposes?
A: Art Stories does not provide appraisals. We offer free verbal evaluations that help you determine the value of your artwork. We encourage you to contact one of our sponsors to arrange a professional appraisal.
Q: Will you buy my artwork if it turns out to be valuable?
A: We do not buy or sell art. However, Art Stories events attract art collectors and gallery owners who may assist you in finding a buyer.
